Who We Are

Built by two moms, Brighter Table is a community for parents and caregivers who want to feed their kids healthier, more sustainable meals, but aren't sure where to start. We have set out to make the best choice for dinner, also the easier choice.  Brighter Table intends to learn from you and what works for your family and others across the country, as we grow the community and system to support each other.

What We Do

We want impact at every table, from your dinner plate to their cafeteria tray.

Brighter Table gives you the peer community, practical resources, and civic training to shift your family’s eating habits, and then channel that momentum into real change in your community, across schools, hospitals, and institutions.

Peer Mentorship

Dive in with our parent-to-parent buddy system!

Get matched with an experienced plant-forward parent who understands (and lives!) your day-to-day barriers — like picky eaters, tight budgets, and packed schedules. Our 3-month mentorship program pairs families navigating the same journey for support and accountability.

Resource Library

Imagine: Dinner’s on the table, grocery budget is intact, and the kids are actually eating what’s on their plate!

Free, practical guides built for busy families — plant-forward recipes for picky eaters, lunchbox cheat sheets, grocery guides that work on a real budget, and school board advocacy scripts for when you’re ready to take the food transformation a step further.

Local & Virtual Events

There’s no doubt that food brings people to the table, but it can also build community.

Our free community events are designed for the whole family: casual, welcoming, and genuinely fun. Join us for cooking demos, expert Q&As with pediatric nutritionists and plant-based chefs, and hands-on, kid-friendly activities.

School & Community
Advocacy

You already have a seat at the table. Let's use it to push for healthier food in schools, in your community and across the country.

Parents often already have a seat at the cafeteria table through PTA membership or sitting on school boards. We're here to team up with you to push for healthier, more sustainable food in your local schools and institutions using the power you already wield.

Support us in ways big and small

Brighter Table is largely parent-powered. Your support helps us continually add more resources for families, grow our mentorship training and matching program, and add more community and advocacy events to our calendar that help families eat better together.
