Why become a mentor?

You’ve done the work of shifting your family toward plant-forward eating and you’re ready to pass that on through a meaningful connection with a parent who’s at the very beginning.

Being a Brighter Table Mentor is a meaningful commitment: you’ll be matched with one family for a three-month cycle, sharing the strategies that worked in your kitchen, the mistakes worth skipping, and the encouragement that makes the difference between giving up and getting there.

The best thing about this community is that it grows from the inside out. Every mentee who succeeds becomes a mentor for the next family. If plant-forward eating has changed your household, paying it forward is how it changes the next one, and the one after that.

Why become a mentee?

Eating more plants sounds simple — until it’s 5:30pm, your kid is hangry, and the chicken nuggets are in the freezer.

A Brighter Table Mentor has been exactly where you are. They’ll share what worked in their kitchen, cheer you on when things get hard, and help you build habits that stick. You need someone who’s already convinced their picky seven-year-old to eat lentils and is happy to tell you exactly how they did it. Over three months, you’ll get that kind of practical tips tailored to your family and join a community that makes plant-forward eating feel possible.

How it works

  • Tell us about your family: ages, what you’ve tried, what’s getting in the way.

  • We match you with a mentor whose household looks something like yours.

  • You connect for three months, at a pace that works for both of you.

  • At the end, you keep the strategies, the relationship, and an open invitation to mentor someone else!
